About this project
Social inequalities in Guatemala remain striking. Those who suffer most are indigenous migrants from rural communities who try to improve their economic circumstances in the department of Guatemala, but are exposed to very precarious living conditions and environmental conditions there. The aim of the project is to strengthen joint advocacy processes by grassroots groups organised in multisectoral associations in order to demand dignified living conditions. This is to be achieved through public hearings, communication work, training processes and environmental protection initiatives, among other things. The target group consists mainly of leaders of local grassroots organisations. A particular focus is on the empowerment of women and young people.
