About this project
The project aims to sustainably improve living conditions in informal settlements. On the one hand, it seeks to protect residents from imminent eviction through advocacy work and to ensure that they are involved in urban planning and decision-making processes. On the other hand, 120 families will initially be better protected from record heat waves caused by climate change by insulating their homes. Ninety young barefoot architects, who will be trained in the neighbourhoods, will ensure that the project can be replicated.
