About this project

The organisation takes into account the effects of climate change on health (e.g. zoonoses) and actively addresses health problems relating to humans, animals and the environment, as well as their interactions, in 12 municipalities. It addresses problems such as a lack of clean drinking water, open sewers, a lack of toilets, overcrowded living conditions with animals in the household, improper handling of animal carcasses, isolated work by health workers and veterinarians, overuse of antibiotics (resistance development), overuse of chemical fertilisers and pesticides, burning of fields and unhealthy practices resulting from traditional beliefs. These problems are being addressed in a participatory and networked manner in the target communities.
