About this project
This project is aimed at young people, most of whom are indigenous, who face multiple forms of discrimination. The conditions in their rural communities for developing positive life plans are extremely poor. Access to good education is precarious, support for young people from public authorities is inadequate, and good job prospects are virtually non-existent. The high number of young people migrating is not surprising, but it further worsens the prospects for social and sustainable development in these communities. The measures described here aim to empower young people to become actors in this development, to take on political and social engagement, and to improve their own living conditions by founding or developing micro-enterprises.
