Securing land and social rights and promoting environmental protection in traditional small-scale fishing communities in Brazil

About this project

Die Lebensräume und Arbeitsmöglichkeiten von Kleinfischer*innen sind durch Konflikte um das ufernahe Land sowie um die Nutzung der Gewässer bedroht. Die Verdrängungsprozesse gründen sich auf Landspekulation, Tourismus, industrielle Krabbenzucht und Großfischerei sowie dem Bau von Windparks an der Küste. Ziele des Projektes sind Landrechtregulierung, Minderung der Klimafolgeschäden, stärkere Beteiligung von Frauen und jungen Menschen sowie Absatzsteigerungen in der traditionellen Fischereiwirtschaft. Es werden 1.800 Familien erreicht. Projektmaßnahmen sind u.a. politische Einflussnahme, Monitoring von Regierungshandeln, Erstellung von Studien und Gutachten, Fortbildungen für die Zielgruppe und Beratung der Eigenorganisationen der Kleinfischer*innen.
