About this project
The project region in northeastern Brazil is characterized by inequality and the concentration of wealth, land and power, which exacerbates the exploitation of shared resources and territories. The project aims to strengthen sustainability through social participation, social and environmental justice and food sovereignty. In this context, the project implementer advises smallholder families on agroecological farming and marketing, supports solidarity-based economic initiatives and promotes the participation and qualification of smallholder farmers in civil society participation and in claiming their rights.
