Promotion of self-governance in farming communities in agroecological production and environmental protection by promoters in Guatemala

About this project

Das Projekt fördert Agrarökologie im Hochland von Guatemala als Konzept für Klimawandelresilienz und Prävention von Landflucht. Im Zentrum steht die Verbreitung von agrarökologischen Produktions- und Vermarktungskonzepten durch lokale Promotor*innen und damit die Schaffung eines Systems, das nachhaltiges Management und Wissensvermittlung in Selbstverwaltung ermöglicht. Ferner wird im Projekt die politische Organisation und Beteiligung der Kleinbauernfamilien gefördert, um die Sichtbarkeit der Zielgruppe und ihrer Anliegen zu erhöhen. Maßnahmen umfassen unter anderem Peer-to-Peer-Wissensverbreitung und die Formulierung von Positionen zur politischen Einforderung von Rechten für Kleinbauern und Kleinbäuerinnen.
