Bridge of cooperation: waste prevention and alternative waste management in Radomyshl and Lindlar

About this project

The aim of the project is to strengthen waste management in the Ukrainian municipality of Radomyschl, with a focus on infrastructure development and environmental education and awareness-raising. The installation of suitable waste containers is intended to ensure that waste is disposed of and collected in a more targeted manner and that a routine waste sorting system is established. A local waste management plan will be drawn up to record recyclable material flows and, based on this, a municipal waste collection system will be introduced that also takes into account the surrounding villages. This will reduce the illegal disposal of waste and the associated health impacts. The second module raises residents awareness of waste management, waste avoidance and the environment, and a school laboratory is set up to start environmental education in children at an early age, supplemented by workshops and school campaigns.
