About this project
In view of the fact that the rights of indigenous peoples are not fully guaranteed and that their habitat is under serious threat, particularly from large-scale agriculture, climate change, organized crime (including drug trafficking) and the lack of land titles, the project aims to strengthen the cultural identity, social cohesion and sustainable land use of indigenous communities. This is to be achieved by digital systematization of tradition and language, promotion of life plans with special consideration of young people and women, promotion of self-sufficiency and income generation and political lobbying.
