About this project
The project aims to improve healthcare for indigenous communities and the legal and social situation of indigenous women in a remote mountain region. Basic health workers advise and care for pregnant women in particular. Awareness-raising, training and income-generating initiatives are designed to empower women and promote their independence. To promote gender equality, the traditional leaders of the indigenous communities are also involved in the awareness-raising processes.
