About this project
In the project region, the disregard for the rights of indigenous communities and the exploitation of their natural resources is leading to a profound crisis. The project strengthens the local self-administration of indigenous communities, promotes sustainable and climate-resilient livelihoods and contributes to gender equality. The target group are marginalised rural groups who are particularly affected by multiple discrimination. The aim is to sustainably strengthen the capacities in the areas of village development, climate adaptation, political participation and indigenous medicine through training and advocacy work. The focus is on preserving cultural practices and restoring traditional indigenous basic structures.
