Environmental education in peri-urban settlements, continuation

About this project

The project aims to improve environmental living conditions in peri-urban neighbourhoods. The focus is on improving community sanitation, waste management and creating alternative sources of income. Civil society groups are empowered to design and implement small-scale local projects to improve the environment. Awareness-raising measures and local advocacy work complement the work. Tools used include organisational strengthening, training, high-profile activities such as radio broadcasts, materials (e.g. for latrine construction) and technical support for the implementation of activities.
