About this project
Rural smallholder and indigenous communities are particularly affected by the consequences of climate change. They are also coming under increasing pressure from the expansion of agro-industrial farming methods, while energy, mining and infrastructure projects threaten the livelihoods of these communities. These developments are often accompanied by struggles for territorial control by organised crime. The project pursues an integrated approach to strengthening participatory approaches to defending rights and promoting productive efforts to strengthen the sustainable use of community land.
