About this project
The situation of indigenous communities is characterised by ongoing uncertainty regarding their land and property rights. Many of their community-based enterprises are unprofitable. The role of indigenous communities in environmental and resource protection has not yet been sufficiently recognised. The project helps indigenous target groups to secure their land rights. It also supports them in developing, sustainably using and preserving their ancestral territories and resources, while at the same time improving the economic viability of their community-based enterprises to secure their long-term self-sufficiency.
