About this project
The project locations in Bolivia include agricultural communities that are severely affected by climate change. The population, consisting of smallholder and indigenous communities, suffers from water shortages and environmental pollution caused by mining. In addition, girls and women are affected by a culturally entrenched machismo that limits their opportunities for participation and leads to high levels of gender-based violence. The project aims to improve food security and water supply and contribute to better climate protection and less violence. Planned measures include training courses on horticulture and water conservation as well as awareness-raising workshops on gender equality.
