About this project
The livelihoods of smallholder farmers in Liberia are under serious threat from illegal land grabbing and the slow process of granting titles for land managed at community level. The aim is therefore to secure the rights of rural communities to land and forests and to protect natural resources. Awareness-raising measures, training courses, radio broadcasts and publications are being funded to secure the land and property rights of the rural population, along with corresponding lobbying and advocacy work. The target group is the smallholder farming population, which is organised in local committees.
