About this project

The project strengthens farmers seed autonomy in Mali in light of the effects of climate change. It supports 80 farmers in participatory variety crossbreeding and in the preservation and further development of local, climate-resilient varieties. Building on successful preliminary projects, skills in crossbreeding techniques are being deepened, varieties characterised and farmer networks strengthened. The aim is to improve food sovereignty, biodiversity and the resilience of rural communities in a sustainable manner.
