About this project
Smallholder farmers in Ghana are particularly affected by unfavourable conditions such as stony soils, long dry seasons and limited available arable land, and they also have to contend with the negative effects of climate change. The aim of the project is to contribute to food security, poverty reduction and resilience to the effects of climate change. To this end, training courses, events and exchanges are being promoted to encourage agroecological farming methods and increase agricultural yields, to develop plans for adaptation to climate change, and to provide targeted training for women in setting up micro-enterprises. The measures are aimed in particular at smallholder farmers who practise subsistence farming.
