About this project

The project addresses the precarious socio-economic situation of Madagascars rural population and their legal uncertainty regarding land. The following strategies are being pursued. Agricultural production is to be made more resilient through agroecological approaches in order to improve food security and income for the rural population. New fair markets are to be developed through the establishment of micro-enterprises. The rural population is supported in resolving conflicts and threats of land loss. Media and lobbying work is used to publicise legal violations in land deals and defend the rural populations rights to land.
