About this project
The project supports smallholder farmers, indigenous communities and peri-urban populations in asserting their economic, social, cultural and environmental rights, particularly in the context of large-scale industrial projects, environmental pollution and the lack of, or threat to, access to clean water. In doing so, the project primarily pursues a regenerative approach to the socio-ecological enhancement and restoration of affected areas, whilst also seeking dialogue with government bodies and, in some cases, legal proceedings, with the aim of improving the situation and organisational capacity of the grassroots groups it supports.
