About this project

In the project region, climate change, extreme water scarcity, environmental degradation and high poverty rates are threatening the livelihoods of the population. The aim of the project is to strengthen the resilience of local communities by establishing sustainable access to water, improving food security and income-generating activities, and building capacity for self-governance. This is achieved through the construction of sand dams, the promotion of agroecological farming and sustainable livestock management, training in resource management, improved value addition, and the strengthening of existing local structures.
