About this project

The project operates in various rural communities in the department of Nariño, an ecologically fragile region. The region is particularly affected by climate fluctuations, environmental degradation, land conflicts, and rural exodus. Smallholder families, particularly women and young people, face growing social and economic challenges. The project aims to strengthen community organizations, expand agroecological production systems, and improve income opportunities through the solidarity economy. To this end, the project promotes training, demonstration plots, community initiatives, adapted technologies, as well as regional exchange and marketing structures and sustainable tourism initiatives.
