About this project

As a result of the climate crisis, environmental degradation and a lack of economic prospects, smallholder farming families in rural areas of Guatemala are coming under increasing pressure and are migrating in large numbers abroad. The aim of the project is to protect the environment, improve food security and enhance the social organisation of the local population. Training courses are being held in the fields of agroecology, environmental protection and community organisation. The target group consists of smallholder families and agroecology promoters in the highlands of Guatemala.
