About this project
In a remote, poverty and conflict prone project area where land ownership and land use rights are often the cause of conflict, the project enables village authorities to adopt stewardship-based transparent, inclusive and participatory land governance practices in the sense of going beyond land ownership, but including for example the care about forest. Further on communities will take their own independent decisions for their sustainable development, which might include i.e. the promotion of local traditional agroecological practices. To support the weak civil society to attract outside funding, organizational development trainings help non-governmental organisations to qualify further.
