About this project
The project addresses the growing challenges that climate change poses for vulnerable population groups. These include irregular rainfall, cyclones, heavy rain, and flooding. These factors lead to ongoing soil degradation as well as the salinization of drinking water and agricultural land. The aim of the project is to improve the resilience of fishing and smallholder farming communities. Target groups are empowered to claim their rights, are given improved access to local government programs, and are supported in representing their concerns in local, national, and international advocacy efforts. Promoting women and actively involving them in income diversification and disaster preparedness is a central concern.
