About this project

The project takes a participatory strategic approach, involving indigenous organisations and civil society actors to strengthen the territorial autonomy and self-government of indigenous communities in a sustainable way. Target groups are systematically empowered to monitor their territories, identify risks posed by extractive activities, and implement targeted measures to protect their natural resources and livelihoods. At the same time, equal participation of women, young people, and other marginalised groups is promoted to ensure more inclusive decision-making processes and the long-term resilience of communities.
