About this project

Most of Burundi’s population is engaged in subsistence farming. We want to help them produce beyond their own needs and generate income by: Establishing smallholder farmers' cooperatives; supporting seed banks, transformation of raw food product; ;business training, training to build start-ups & training on the PIP approach for cooperatives. Introducing and processing key crops for local markets will improve food security and provide additional income for families who can process food during the lean season.
