About this project
Strengthening Rural Governance for the Right to Adequate Food Phase 2 is a program that aims to promote good governance in and for rural areas. People living in rural areas, especially women, are suffering various intersecting forms of discrimination and their concerns are not sufficiently considered in decision-making processes on government policies, programs and budgets that affect their livelihoods.Current food system governance mechanisms tend to be siloed, often with limited participation, transparency, and accountability in decision-making processes. Through this program civil society collations and grassroot community and their networks will be strengthened and capacitated to become more effective advocacy actors especially connecting with Right to Food and rights-based approaches.
