About this project
The project aims to improve respect for human rights by state institutions in the Afar and Tigray regions through effective monitoring and advocacy by civil society organizations (CSOs). To this end, the Ethiopian partner organization CEHRO (Consortium of Ethiopian Human Rights Organizations) will work with local CSOs to establish communities of practice in which CSOs can network and develop joint strategies. At the same time, exchange forums will be organized between regional institutions (regional parliaments as well as judicial and law enforcement authorities) to ensure a sustainable and coordinated implementation of the human rights-based approach. Finally, regular exchanges between CSOs and state representatives will be organized.
