About this project
The aim is to restore degraded forests, preserve biodiversity, protect livelihoods, and combat climate change, through an integrated, sustainable, and resilient approach. The program will start with locally led participatory research to identify priority areas and threats to biodiversity. Using satellite-based land cover analysis, ecosystem dynamics and their impacts on local communities will be better understood. This data will inform the development of a user-friendly mobile application for data collection and monitoring, and the implementation of community led conservation and restoration plans.
