In the aftermath of Covid-19 & global food crisis, 50% of the Peruvian population suffers food insecurity. Action from public/private entities is lagging w. inefficient & uncoordinated use of resources & high food waste volumes. The project strive to contribute to implementing innovative, sustainable & accountable proposals from the State, in coordination with the private sector & civil society,to combat the food crisis in the context of climate change. In particular, it will strengthen the role of the community kitchens to fight the food security crisis, including new strategies on food recovery. The project will be implemented in two districts in the south of Lima.
