About this project
This project is part of Phase II of the Global WASH Program (GWP) implemented in Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe, Pakistan and India. Building on Phase I, Phase II of the program focuses on scaling and institutionalizing WASH systems strengthening across five key areas: Service Delivery Strengthening, Inclusive Planning, Accountability & Monitoring, Institutional Arrangements & Coordination, and Learning & Sector Adaptation. A key emphasis is the shift from systems strengthening to systems delivery, ensuring sustainable WASH services for target communities. Phase II embeds these approaches in government structures and policies, reducing dependency on external support. Advocacy and stakeholder collaboration remain vital for financial sustainability and institutional adaptation.
