About this project

The project is aligned with the POVERTY objective: Increasing the resilience and income of beekeeping and coffee farming families will contribute to a significant reduction in their poverty levels. Aligns with the POWER objective: Coffee and bee farmers improve their capacity to produce and market their products, making them more competitive. They also improve their understanding of climate information and decision-making for effective adaptation, which puts them in a position to reduce social inequality gaps in their favour. They take greater control over their livelihoods. The Beekeepers' Association will provide spaces for coordination and dissemination at the community level and to their families about the advantages of associativity and the benefits of diversifying production. In this sense, churches of different denominations that affiliate the families of interest will be coordinated. Particularly the Catholic and Protestant churches have taken an important role in the area in order to promote issues of economic empowerment of rural families, which will favour the project.
