About this project
In this proposal, ACDEBI will be institutionally strengthened through the development of internal policies, which will benefit 13 associates, including 3 associates belonging to the technical team, who will implement the various community projects. It is expected to benefit at least 64 families (approximately 256 people) in 2 rural communities where the two climate stations will be implemented. As well as strengthening the technical team of ACDEBI and the community climate promoters. MAIN OBJETIVE: Contribute to the institutional strengthening of ACDEBI, and promote a process of adaptation to Climate Change through Local Monitoring Systems, in order to guarantee Food Security and Sovereignty for communities of the Maya Chortí People. Specific Objective: 1- To promote a process of construction of policies, manuals and codes, which guarantee the good action of ACDEBI's associates and technical team, NGOs, at the different levels of intervention. 2- Strengthen the resilience of indigenous families of the Maya Chortí people through the use of climate information (scientific and ancestral), which informs adaptation strategies in the face of climate change.
