About this project

The project is based on the implementation of circular economy processes and waste transformation, ensuring a sustainable production model. Using specialized technology, plastic waste will be converted into plastic wood—a durable, fire-resistant, and low-maintenance material with a lifespan of up to 50 years. This process reduces pollution and facilitates the reintegration of waste into the productive economy, minimizing waste and promoting a culture of responsible use. Additionally, renewable energies will be integrated into the production process through the installation of a photovoltaic system, ensuring partial or full plant operation with solar energy, reducing dependence on fossil fuels, and promoting environmental sustainability. Additionally, a greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions measurement and monitoring system will be established in the production process. The data obtained from monitoring will facilitate the preparation of periodic environmental impact reports, strengthen evidence-based decision-making, and communicate the project's concrete benefits to the community, strategic partners, and environmental institutions. The water used in the cooling process of the plastic wood will be recirculated, preventing waste and ensuring efficient use of water resources In December 2025, the project entered a second two-year phase.
