About this project
The proposed intervention: adopting the blue-green enterprise model to serve as an entry point to deliver capacity building and linkages to other services (including business development services and financial inclusion services). The blue-green enterprises are expected to start and sustain the irrigation and the sustainable production of livestock feed by applying climate-smart, green technologies, and eco-friendly agricultural production approaches. In order to mitigate the effects of the recurring droughts in Dassenech woreda in a sustainable way, the proposed action is to establish a local livestock feed production system by using the water resources of the Omo River for irrigation through solar powered pumping and be able to sustainably cultivating livestock feed.
