About this project
Concern-led consortium puts an enhanced focus on climate action, environmental protection, sustainable development and building resilience, as a means to ending extreme poverty and inequality. The Consortium’s approach to achieve the stated aim and lasting change is to address the underlying causes of a person’s or community’s exposure to climate risks, their subsequent vulnerability and the social, political and economic inequalities that further drive that vulnerability. In Phase I, BRAVE focused on Ghizer and Astore in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and Chitral, Nowshera, and Charsadda in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). Under Phase II, the programme has scaled up to Shigar and Ghanche in GB, and Swat, Buner, and Upper Dir in KP, following a hazard-risk-based district selection process.
