FCDO/LRC - Support to DM and DRR

About this project

We submitted a concept note to FCDO to support the DM and the DRR in LRC. The project will be 3 years project, 1 Million GBP/year covering 3 Thematic Areas: DM (disaster Management) and CVAP (Cash and voucher assistance preparedness): Strengthen LRC’s institutional capacity for CVA. Equip 21 DM centers with vehicles, IT, communication, and safety gear as per the DM Minimum Standards Train staff/volunteers. Locally Led DRR (disaster risk reduction): Implement Road to Community Resilience Framework in high-risk communities over 3 years. Establish Resilience Committees and Community Emergency Response Teams (CERTs). Project will be crosscutting in climate risk analysis, early warning systems, and has school safety programs. Urban Search and Rescue: supporting two LRC stations per year with training and equipment Crisis Modifier: Flexible mechanism for rapid response to conflict or climate shocks (e.g., cash assistance, ..)
