FCDO support to LRC Preparedness and NSD

About this project

BRC have submitted a concept note to FCDO for the proposed project 'UK Humanitarian Support in Lebanon (2026-2029): Strengthening Local Preparedness, Response, and Resilience.' The project will run over three years from 4 September 2026 to 31 March 2029 with an indicative funding level of GBP 5.1 million: Year 1: September 2026 - March 2027 (£1.1 million) Year 2: April 2027 - March 2028 (£2 million) Year 3: April 2028 - March 2029 (£2 million) The project will build on the activities completed under the 'FCDO/LRC - Support to DM and DRR' project page, with a continued focus on preparedness investments for the Disaster Management sector, Disaster Risk Reduction unit, Urban Search and Rescue team, and a 10% of the total budget as Crisis Modifier. Investment in National Society Development will also be included under this project. Disaster Management Sector (DMS) interventions will enhance operational readiness through strengthened systems, centres, warehouses, emergency response capacities, and preparedness assets, while also reinforcing Cash and Voucher Assistance preparedness to support the timely, dignified and scalable delivery of humanitarian assistance during emergencies.
