About this project
The Katari river basin located in the department of La Paz, has more than a million inhabitants, making it one of the most demographically and environmentally pressured basins in the country. The basin shows high deterioration of water and soil quality due to urban, industrial, mining and livestock activities. The project aims to enable pollution-affected communities, particularly children in local schools, to protect their environment and have greater access to safe drinking water through innovative technologies supported by coordinated work with state authorities, civil society and academia.
