About this project
This project seeks to strengthen territorial governance in Indigenous and rural communities of Beni by enhancing local leadership capacities for environmental protection, the exercise of collective rights, and food security. The project will strengthen legal and social defense capacities through the training of community defenders, improved access to judicial mechanisms, and actions to prevent violence among young people. It will also implement Agroforestry Systems led by trained local experts as a model for food security and ecological restoration, fostering climate resilience and sustainable livelihoods. Additionally, the initiative will enhance emergency response and institutional coordination by supporting local committees, community firefighters, and knowledge exchange processes. Through this integrated approach, the project contributes to inclusive governance, environmental sustainability, and long-term resilience in the territory.
