About this project

CAFOD and the implementing partners will work with the Midlands PWSSC and all Midlands DWSSCs for the implementation of this project. CAFOD is working with implementing partners namely Caritas Gweru and Caritas Gokwe to facilitate cross-sectoral cholera response coordination at district and provincial levels for achieving cholera control or elimination in line with the Zimbabwe Multi-sectoral Cholera Elimination plan 2018-2028 and Zimbabwe Cholera Response guideline. The project will ensure that at least regular weekly coordination meetings are held at district and provincial levels to gather data and share at national levels both through the cluster and bilaterally with UNICEF. The project will receive backstopping and technical guidance from national UNICEF, Ministry of Health Child Care (MoHCC) and The Department of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (Dept WASH). CAFOD will also draw on existing technical expertise both at its Harare office and its Headquarters in the UK to ensure minimum standards and sector best practices are met.
