About this project

APDA work in the Afar region of Ethiopia to bring an end to harmful practices such as female genital mutilation and early marriage. They work with remote pastorialist communities through extension workers to effect change. The communities they work with are vulnerable to climate shocks resulting in water and food shortages - at these times APDA provides additional emergency relief support.
