About this project
Plan International Bangladesh (PIB), implementing through local partner YPSA, will deliver trigger-based cyclone anticipatory action for approximately 950 host community households (~4,550 individuals) across two high-risk unions in Chakaria Upazila, Cox's Bazar District. The project provides pre-season shelter and WASH rehabilitation at cyclone shelters, beneficiary database harmonisation, and trigger action plan development with local disaster management structures, alongside readiness and early anticipatory actions including early warning dissemination, evacuation support for the most vulnerable, multipurpose cash grants, and dignity item distribution. Targeting female-headed households, persons with disabilities, older persons, and families with young children, the project is funded through the CBPF/APHF Bangladesh Cyclone Anticipatory Action Allocation 2026 at USD 70,660, with CARE Bangladesh as consortium host.
