About this project
The project aimed to support people affected by the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan following two major earthquakes in 2025. Through Scotland’s Humanitarian Emergency Fund (HEF), funding enabled Tearfund to provide essential assistance, including cash support, warm blankets and clothing, and hygiene kits to those living in earthquake-affected areas, helping them endure harsh winter conditions. In addition, the funding delivered psychological support to individuals most severely impacted, addressing both immediate needs and longer-term wellbeing.
