About this project
Based on the findings from the Fresh Horizons Pilot (Phase I) around the potential of and demand for cold chain solutions, and in consultation with FCDO, Mercy Corps proposes a second phase of the Fresh Horizons pilot to focus on strengthening the supply and use of cold chain equipment. The increased use of cold chain equipment will lead to decreased waste and improved profits, and open new urban markets, thus providing improved livelihoods opportunities for vulnerable households and actors across the fisheries sector, eventually increasing food access and improving their own food security status.
