About this project

The project titled “Enhancing Youth Skills and Livelihood Opportunities in Beirut & Mount Lebanon” is a comprehensive 24-month intervention implemented by NABAD to address the growing socio-economic challenges affecting youth in Lebanon. Building on previous successful initiatives, the project adopts an integrated and multi-sectoral approach to improve youth employability, resilience, and economic participation in Beirut and Mount Lebanon. The project is structured around several key components. First, it delivers foundational and employability skills training, including life skills, job-seeking skills, digital literacy, English language, and career counseling to equip youth with competencies required in the labor market. Second, it provides vocational and entrepreneurship training, enabling youth to gain technical skills and develop business ideas aligned with market needs. Third, the project includes entrepreneurship support through cash grants, allowing selected beneficiaries to establish or expand small businesses. Additionally, the project promotes work-based learning opportunities through engagement with local employers to facilitate practical experience and potential job placement. Finally, a strong monitoring, follow-up, and sustainability component is integrated, ensuring continuous tracking of beneficiaries’ progress and long-term impact beyond the project cycle.
