About this project

The objective of the DANIDA SP II is a peaceful, gender and climate just society which upholds human rights in Uganda. The TOC describes how DANIDA SP II will support the displacement affected communities to move from the current situation to the desiredstate, wherein more adolescents, women and young people in West Nile live in cohesive communities, have equitable and inclusive access to quality basic services incl. education, livelihood opportunities and are protected from violence and neglect as wellclimate change impacts. If we apply a triple nexus approach that strengthens systems and local institutions as well as the capacity and role of localactors (CSOs, RLOs, crisis affected and vulnerable communities) to advocate and participate in decision making processes and If we at the same time build their technical capacity in conflict mediation, taxation and budgeting, human rights, gender, humanitarian response and climate issues, livelihoods and education; If we work with the education and livelihood sectors and actors in raising thequality of services, ensure linkages to markets and greening of skills in a gender inclusive and transformative way; Then women, youth and the crisis affected and vulnerable communities are empowered to stand upfor themselves, their families and communities and are able to hold governments and duty bearers to account on issues related to human rights, humanitarian response, public spending, basic services and climate; Then the social fabric in…
