About this project

Oxfam in Laos will host the project implementation unit to coordinate with and facilitate the work of the local partners to implement the project in the ground. Oxfam in Laos is also taking the lead in the project start up, will provide overall guidance, is responsible for the implementation of the main activities including contracting with 3rd parties. Oxfam will also Liaise with the government and prepare/sign MoU with the Government of Laos to ensure that the project is in line with Government’s development priority. Oxfam oversees the reporting to the donor and the potential revisions of the project for donor approval. Finally, Oxfam ensures transparency and safeguarding during project implementation. The proposed Action is relevant to the Overall Objective (OO) of Lot n° 2 ofthe call as it will strengthen capacity of CSOs to roll out CSA practices at community levels, in particularly diversifying resilient crops with adaptation and mitigation approach and increase Value Chains (VCs) for increasing productivity, which have great potential to improve income and food security. The Action responds to each of the award priorities of the call as follows: Priority 1 on capacity building in promoting local CSOs, Youth and Women Groups in policydialogue, advocacy and awareness raising.
