About this project

Goal: "Local communities understand and can promote the implementation of policies through the participation of communities/farmers, supported by information through dialogue and exchange, cooperation from relevant sectors, and can adapt appropriately to climate change" in line with the Lao PDR government's Green and Sustainable Development Strategy. Objectives: - To build understanding and capacity regarding the promotion of CSA policy implementation / the Green and Sustainable Development Strategy for relevant local stakeholders in 4 target districts, and to foster the participation of communities, farmers, and local stakeholders in supporting the implementation of relevant policies for adapting to climate change. - To create participation and cooperation with relevant local stakeholders in a systematic manner, while also establishing an enabling environment for promoting the implementation of relevant policies at the local level through forums/workshops for exchange, learning, and systematic lesson-learning. Outcomes: 1. Government partners and relevant local stakeholders in the 4 target districts are able to effectively promote the implementation of CSA policy and related policies to communities/farmers and other stakeholders. Communities, farmers, and relevant stakeholders have a deep understanding of the Green and Sustainable Development policies/strategies including related policies.
